Liechtenstein TeleNet AG (LTN) is the main telecommunications
service provider of Liechtenstein. In November 1999, it
took over the country's telecommunications network, which
was previously run by Swisscom. LTNs basic services consist
of PSTN, ISDN, leased lines and payphones.
THE BILLING SYSTEM PROJECT
When LTN took over Liechtenstein's telecommunications
network from Swisscom, LTN needed a billing system to handle
the country's unique requirements. Although Liechtenstein
is a small country, it is a center for international commerce
and banking, so a system able to handle a large volume of
international traffic and complex reconciliation was necessary.
It was also important that the system be able to handle
the multifaceted order management and provisioning requirements
for the various types of lines in the LTN network. Since
LTN was a new player in the game it was important to choose
a system that would be flexible enough to support future
requirements and grow with the company.
After MaxBill was chosen, MaxBill and LTN showed exceptional
work ethic and teamwork during the system implementation
process. The project was finished in record time, around
six weeks. The system is currently in production and an
essential part of LTN's success.
Benefits of the MaxBill System for LTN:
Quick deployment
System flexibility
Inter-carrier billing
Pre-select international calls
Advanced order management and provisioning functionalities.
