Home MaxBill Develops CaTV Provisioning Interface
  • Interface supports a seamless CaTV solution for service providers

  • April 12, 2007, Tel Aviv, Israel – MaxBill, a market leader in providing comprehensive, financial customer management and billing solutions, has complemented its portfolio with a robust Cable Television (CaTV) solution by creating a digital CaTV provisioning interface. The interface enables the automatic provisioning and control of advanced CaTV services to provide a seamless flow-through solution for CaTV service providers. The interface was developed together with Nagravision, the world leading independent provider of value-added service and content protection technology.

Tests conducted with Nagravision demonstrate the successful integration between MaxBill's Customer Care and Billing product and Nagravision's Subscriber Management System (SMS) gateway for a CaTV provisioning system. The seamless integration into OSS services enables CaTV operators to automatically activate customer-oriented services and effectively provide improved customer service and the accelerated introduction of new services. The interface supports bi-directional data transfer and facilitates increased bandwidth efficiency, cost effective CaTV solutions and reduced operational costs. With the interface, MaxBill now supports digital, in addition to analog CaTV capabilities.

"With the increasing popularity of CaTV and the expansion of its use to interact with new forms of multimedia information and entertainment services, such as Pay TV, and internet over cable, MaxBill's successful integration with Nagravision's CA system offers our consumers a simple and secure retail CaTV solution," said Hadar Himmelman, CEO of MaxBill. "Our CaTV provisioning interface provides customers with a cost effective way to expand their CaTV spectrum and enables an infrastructure built for advanced quadruple-play services."
