ABOUT T-SYSTEMS
Under the name of "T-Systems", Europe´s second
biggest system house is launched with 37,000
employees and a total turnover of about 11
billion Euro. Apart from mobile and internet
communication as well as network access, the
Deutsche Telekom has defined the system
solution business as one of its four strategic
growth sectors. For the first time, this new
company combines know-how from
Telecommunications and Information
Technology all over the world. Furthermore,
debis Systemhaus - a joint venture between
T-Systems International GmbH (50,1 per cent)
and aimlerChrysler Services AG (49,9 percent) -
provides its extensive experience in Information
Technology and Telekom its corresponding
Telecommunications expertise for T-Systems.

In September 2000, the Federal Cartel Office
(Bundeskartellamt) has approved the majority
holding of the Deutsche Telekom in debis
Systemhaus without reservation. The new
company T-Systems was launched in
February 2001 in Germany and more than 20
countries.
